I felt a little bad here because we weren't dressed for tea. We had been touring all over the UK for days and didn't have the energy to switch into tea appropriate clothing. We had a good time here. i had the Jane Austen blend and it was lovely. The scones they had were great too and the clotted cream was good.
I really liked the setting upstairs in a typical Bath townhouse. This is a must do in Bath -

Me thinks all is not right! One tea in Bath, so decided to go Jane Austin and the Regency. Arrived and the place had only one other table seated in a small cramped room. Waitstaff tried to seat us at the one middle table, but we preferred the window since the place was empty. Let the eye rolls begin! Now she has to clean one of the dirty tables. So she cleaned it reluctantly and sat us down without much excitement. She placed food-stained menus onto crumb laden table. We sat there. We waited. The other table looked unhappy and impatient. And then it happened. We did something we've never done before. We brought out our Regency period drama! We felt a bit under the weather and needed to leave to rest a bit. We left and immediately headed off the the Pump Room and had a delicious tea in a clean, bright and lovely environment! Don't bother with the Regency Tea Room. It's sad and depressing!

Nice afternoon tea experience with wide selection of teas and yummy treats. We ordered 2 orders of the 2-person serving of "Tea with Mr. Darcy" and it filled the 4 of us completely. The service was the only reason I gave a lower rating (they mixed up our order and then forgot to bring our tea). With better service, I'd rate a 5 star.

Excellent food and, of course, delicious tea. Liked the sugar cubes too. :) Servers were very nice. Unfortunately, there was a bit of lag between getting food and tea, but we weren't in any rush so it didn't affect us too much.

Regency Tea Rooms, located at the top of the Jane Austen Centre, had all kinds of different teas with cute names like the Mr Darcy Tea w/ finger sandwiches, cake, and scones w/ the proper clotted cream and jam.
We opted for the Ladies Afternoon Tea and the Proper Cream Tea. Scones were tasty and crumbly.
Earl Grey was a heavier tea w/ strong floral overtones. Jane Austen blend was light & very smooth, almost like an English Breakfast. Bought some Jane Austen Blend to take home & remind us of our morning w/ Jane.
